  It’s a smoke free establishment which will please many. We were there for 2 months and made very welcome by Robert, the proprietor. Rob is a font of information on the area and was a great source of tips on how to get about and places to visit. We’re happy to recommend Richmond Lodge as medium to long stay destination, well run, clean and well located.

  I dread going to a motel due to the fact that smokers can still smoke directly outside the room and some actually have smoked inside a separate bathroom due to amount of cigarette odour pouring in through the exhaust fan in the bathroom :-(

  As Melbournites, we booked into Richmond Lodge whilst we were re-locating home. It’s certainly is a well kept secret. In a quiet part of Richmond, the lodge has all the mod cons you need including free WiFi, large rooms, excellent laundry facilitates and is only a short walk to shops and eateries.

  The care taker is friendly. Will bend over backwards for you. Room may seem a bit fated but it's everything you need for a self contained apartment. Would recommend if you need to stay close to Epworth hospital.

  For an asthmatic/allergic person who gets terrible headaches from the whiff of smoke plus wheezing etc, Richmond Lodge is an absolute delight!

  I booked in with my wife as her mother was in the Epworth Hospital .We were pleasantly surprised to find the Hospital was within walking distance .The lodge was in a quiet side street and the fully equipped rooms were excellent .As it turned out we had to stay for 3 weeks due to my mother in law's condition but it was a very pleasant stay and a friendly owner.
